Of all the girls that I have photographed, Amanda is by far the most well known ... not so much as Amanda Jayne Parr which is her actual name,
but more as Sabrina Johnson, the international porn star, who has appeared in over 200 porn films.
I first photographed Amanda back in 1994 in the bedroom of her home in Nunnery Road in Bolton. Although she was only 18, she had already begun appearing in porn films and had just returned home from shooting one in Ibiza where she told me, she and three or four other girls had been filmed having oral, vaginal and anal sex with several famous male porn actors. Amanda was an absolute joy to work with. Not only is she stunningly attractive, she is genuinely warm and friendly and totally uninhibited about sex and nudity. Although I did a second still shoot with Amanda, I never got to see the pics, but the reason why I didn't, is quite a long story ... Just before the shoot, Amanda told me that she had been to Amsterdam to do a porn film and on the way home she and her husband had been stopped by the UK Customs at Dover who had searched their car. They were really looking for drugs, but in Amanda's luggage they found some porn videos of her which she had bought in Holland because they were too pornographic to be sold in the UK. After the second still shoot, I provisionally arranged to see her again the following month, and when I phoned her a few days before the shoot to make sure that she was still available, everything seemed to be OK. As usual, she asked me to phone her to let her know that I was on my way to Bolton so that she would have time to have a shower and shave her pubes, and put her make-up on, and do whatever else a glamour model does before a shoot. But when I phoned, it wasn't the usual bubbly Amanda that I spoke to ... she was obviously very uptight about something and said she would tell me more when I got there. But, she warned me, she was sure that her house was under police surveillance and suggested that I park my car on one of the nearby streets and then walk up the narrow alleyway at the back of the house and through the garden and use the back door. Amanda's worries seemed justified. Two days previously, the house had been raided by the Vice Squad who had seized her camera, camcorder, videos, photographs and all her sex toys. Then both she and her husband Graham had been arrested and questioned about Amanda's modelling activities. Amongst the photographs that the police had seized were those that I had taken the previous time which included some shots of Amanda and I having sex. Although I never got to see the pics, I didn't get implicated and soon after the police raid, Amanda and Graham moved to the nearby town of Leigh. I did one shoot at their new home, but very soon afterwards Graham was arrested again and convicted of "living off immoral earnings" for which he received a prison sentence. Although this normally applied to men living off the earnings of prostitutes, because his wife was paid for performing sex acts in front of a camera, Graham was found guilty of basically just being married to a porn actress. As Amanda's porn career was really beginning to take off, when Graham was released from prison the couple made the logical decision to leave the UK and they now live in the Belgian town of Brecht near Antwerp. |
