My life, a continuing journey

As I got older I discovered that my life was not fulfilling, yet I never knew why.
Three marriages later, I began to really look inside myself and try to pinpoint the things I wanted in my life.
I discovered that my thoughts and opinions were rather 'old fashioned' - I wanted:
to be supported by my husband
to take care of the house and
not be the 'leader'.
Obviously not a feminist outlook!

Thru the internet I learned about Dominance and submission as a lifestyle choice
and realized that a submissive role filled my needs.
I was very nervous about sharing these feelings with my husband,
yet knew if I didn't that this marriage would fail.
Fortunately I have a very supportive husband
and he was interested in learning about anything that would make us (me) happy.
Of course he liked the idea of being the Master and in control, so we began exploring this lifestyle.

The transition from feminist to slave was not an easy one. I still have old habits that challenge both my submissiveness and his dominance.
But our journey is far from complete and each day our commitment to our chosen roles deepens.
Some day I hope to be a completely devoted slave to my loving Master.

Were you always into kinky sex?
We enjoyed light bondage from the beginning of our relationship
but
neither of us really knew much about S&M or B&D.

How did you become a submissive/slave?
While chatting online one day someone put out a question 'have you been to bondage.com?'...
I HAD to go there.
Once there I began to learn about the world of bdsm and D/s and discovered my submissive/slave yearnings.

What about feminism, women's lib and all that stuff?
While I think the women's lib movement brought about some much needed changes in our nation,
I don't feel as though I need to shout at the top of my lungs
"I am woman, hear me roar."
Every woman has choices as to how she'll lead her life.
My choice is to have my Master lead our lives.

What are the benefits of this lifestyle?
Our relationship has deepened due to this lifestyle. We communicate much better than we ever have, and our sex life is AWESOME!!! I feel more secure in sharing my fears, fantasies and thoughts with my Master, and to see in his eyes that he cherishes me...what could be better than that?!!
